Valley E-Newsletter #30 August 16/05
The dog days of summer haven't stopped your Association from working on your behalf and we can assure you that the SVA issue is still open.
NEWS: Ben Peters bought the property that CJC had repossessed. SVA now has a route to Turk Road West. Morgan told Peters that if he did not buy it there was no deal. Chuck will verify this as the deal may not be complete and registered. Is it in Ben's name or Ruth Ben Holdings' name?
CHUCK'S REPORT: July 26/05. Carol Hanley, Chuck Shook, and Cindy Anthony met with Mayor Finley, Councilor Benns and Township Clerk Terry Korotki.
"The Township agreed to share the information they received from the MOE in regard to the landfill site. They also promised to investigate the status of the site in regard to proper legal description, tax status and related issues.
We have received their MOE information and hope to have more detail on the site available to us after the meeting August 24.
All the Proponents in the issues before Council appear to have the complete support of Council. Their credibility goes unchallenged it appears. Opponents, on the other hand, have no credibility and must provide undeniable proof which, when provided, is not acted upon or a credible explanation given. It appears the first action of Council is to disclose all information to the proponents. This, in fact, voids the opponent's case.
It was my hope that this meeting would be the start of a cooperative relationship between the parties. It does not appear to be the case."
