NOTICE OF A PUBLIC INFORMATION SESSION
CONCERNING A PROPOSED ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT
Re. Shelter Valley Aggregates Ltd.
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand will hold a public information session at the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand Municipal Administration Office (Upstairs), 10836 County Road #2, in Grafton, Ontario, on Tuesday, December 13, 2005, from 7:00p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The public information session is not a formal statutory public meeting. It is an opportunity for the public to hear presentations by representatives of the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand and Shelter Valley Aggregates Ltd. concerning an application for a zoning by-law amendment for a proposed sand and gravel pit.
Representatives of the Township and Shelter Valley Aggregates Ltd. will make brief presentations at 7:00p.m. concerning the proposed by-law amendment and the status of the application. Following the presentations, the public will have an opportunity to ask questions and provide comments.
The Township of Alnwick/Haldimand is in receipt of an application for a Zoning By-Law Amendment for the lands located in part of Lots 5 and 6, Concession 3, in the former Township of Haldimand. The purpose of the application is to change the zoning on the subject property to permit the establishment and operation of a sand and gravel pit under the provisions of the Aggregate Resources Act. The Township Council held a public meeting under Section 34 of the Planning Act for this application on July 9, 2003.
The location of the subject property is shown on the attached key map.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION relating to the proposed zoning by-law amendment is available for inspection at the Municipal Office in Grafton between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
