AN APPEAL TO VALLEY VOICES' MEMBERS
re NOVEMBER 16, 2006
GRAFTON
7:00pm
According to SVA, and as reported in today's Cobourg Daily Star, the 'Gravel pit could bring 40,000 truck [trips] a year to County Roads 25 and 21, but neither road would require modifications to handle the traffic. There is no need for a turning lane, and the delay would only be 10 to 15 seconds as trucks leave the unpaved intersection with Turk Road.'
There - don't you feel re-assured ?
There is a public meeting in Grafton on Thursday , November 16 at 7:00pm.
The OMB refers to it as a "public night".
The meeting is open to citizens "who are not represented by legal counsel" to speak .
While this technically precludes VV members from speaking at the "public night" because they do have legal counsel, John Norris, the OMB planner working on this case, has confirmed that individual VV members can ask permission to speak on their own behalf.
There's no signing up to do.
Simply raise your hand and ask permission to speak.
Permission is at the discretion of the person chairing the meeting.
Time would appear to be the only restraint.
This is your opportunity to personally influence the OMB's thinking.
Come and speak your mind.
